Terms & Privacy
Effective August 26, 2026. Using Hyerlo means you accept both the Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy on this page.
Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Hyerlo (“Hyerlo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) covering hyerlo.com, related apps, and any features we make available (together, the “Service”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Cancel any paid plan under the cancellation rules below if you already subscribed.
We may revise these Terms by posting an updated version on this page. Changes apply when published. Continued use after that date is acceptance of the update.
Nature of the Service
Hyerlo is a trade journaling and analytics product. It is not a broker, exchange, investment adviser, or tax adviser. Charts, metrics, imported fills, notes, and other outputs are tools for your own review—not legal, tax, or investment advice, and not an offer, solicitation, or recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security, commodity, cryptocurrency, or other instrument.
Whether a strategy, market, or product fits you is your call alone, based on your own objectives and risk tolerance. For advice specific to your situation, talk to qualified professionals.
Accounts
Keep login credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us right away at support@hyerlo.com if you suspect unauthorized access. Do not share passwords with anyone else.
Plans, billing, and trials
Paid features require an active subscription. Checkout is an offer to subscribe; we may accept or decline it after payment and account checks. Pricing shown on the site or at checkout is the intended price; if we discover a pricing mistake, we will notify you. You may cancel with no further obligation and receive a refund of amounts paid for that mistaken price; continuing without canceling means you accept the corrected price.
Stripe processes payments. By paying, you confirm the payment method is accurate and that you are authorized to use it. Failed or reversed authorization may lead us to suspend access and, where appropriate, contact the payment provider or authorities. Refunds we owe under these Terms go back through Stripe to the original method when possible; otherwise we will ask you for another method.
Plans renew monthly or annually (for example Base, Breakout, or Expansion) until you cancel. Cancel via the Stripe customer portal (Settings → Billing) or as we otherwise document. Canceling stops future charges; the current period is not refunded, and paid access continues through the end of that period. After that, paid features end; your journal may remain viewable in a read-only mode until you subscribe again.
New users may receive a free trial (currently seven days) without entering a card. When the trial ends, full write access requires a paid plan. One trial per person for life. We may end access and block further use if we reasonably believe the trial is being abused.
Exchange connections
Syncing venues such as supported crypto futures exchanges typically needs a read-only API key (and related secrets). We encrypt those credentials at rest. You choose what permissions the exchange grants; if you supply a key with trading or withdrawal rights, any resulting loss is your responsibility—we are not liable for misuse of over-permissioned keys.
Some connections may require that your exchange account used a Hyerlo referral link or code, disclosed when you connect. We may check that via read-only API. We can limit or revoke sync if we see abuse or suspicious referral activity.
Acceptable use
Use the Service only in ways that comply with applicable law (including export and data-transfer rules where they apply). You may not—and may not help others to—(a) upload or distribute unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, or malware-laden content; (b) infringe others’ IP or other rights; (c) disrupt the Service or its infrastructure; (d) spam or mass-distribute unsolicited messages through the Service; or (e) use the Service for fraud or other improper purposes. Provide accurate registration and billing information.
Breach of these Terms can mean suspension or termination without notice and without refund. If we shut down the product or terminate you for reasons other than your breach, we will generally issue a pro rata refund for unused prepaid time, absent exceptional circumstances.
Intellectual property and links
Hyerlo and its licensors own the Service’s software, branding, and content unless marked otherwise. You may use the Service for personal, non-commercial journaling and analysis. Do not copy, sell, or commercially exploit our materials without permission. Trademarks and logos remain ours (or their owners’).
Outbound links (including to exchanges) are for convenience only—not endorsements. Third-party sites have their own terms; review them before you use those sites. Linking to Hyerlo requires our prior written consent; we are not responsible for content on sites that link to us without that consent.
Parts of the Service may include or depend on open-source or public-repository code. We do not warrant that code and are not responsible for defects tied to it or to upstream changes.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided as is and as available. Content may contain gaps or errors. Access can be delayed or interrupted for planned or unplanned reasons. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties of accuracy, completeness, timeliness, non-infringement, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and any warranties implied by course of dealing or law.
We rely on third parties for hosting, auth, databases, payments, monitoring, and similar functions. We are not responsible for outages, breaches, or other incidents at those providers. Risk of malware or other electronic harm from using the web remains with you. We are not responsible for decisions you make based on Service data or for losses from third-party sites you reach through Hyerlo.
We are not liable for events outside our reasonable control, including network failures, acts of third parties, or force majeure.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law: (1) we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or similar damages, or for trading losses, even if we were told such damages were possible; (2) if you use the Service outside these Terms, we owe you nothing for resulting loss; (3) if you are not a paying subscriber, we have no liability to you arising from use of the Service; (4) if you are a paying subscriber, our total liability for direct damages caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct in connection with your proper use of the Service is capped at the subscription fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim—or, at your option, up to one year of free subscription renewal instead of cash. Those remedies are exclusive.
These limits protect Hyerlo, its affiliates, and their officers, directors, employees, agents, successors, and assigns. To the extent the law allows, third-party providers whose services appear in or support Hyerlo have no liability to you for that role, and you waive claims against them arising from your use of their data or services through Hyerlo.
Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify Hyerlo and its affiliates, and their officers, directors, employees, and agents, against claims and losses arising from your breach of these Terms or from third-party claims related to your use (authorized or not) of information from the Service.
Privacy
How we handle personal data is described in the Privacy Policy below, which is part of your agreement with us.
Governing law and disputes
If a court finds any part of these Terms unenforceable, the rest still applies.
Delaware law governs these Terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved by binding arbitration under Delaware law; the arbitrator’s award is final and may be enforced in any court with jurisdiction. Arbitration does not limit our right to suspend or terminate access under these Terms.
Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what Hyerlo collects when you use the Service, how we use it, and when we share it. It applies to hyerlo.com and Hyerlo products and features.
Information you give us
Depending on how you use Hyerlo, that can include email (and optionally name), waitlist or support form details, and billing-related data handled by Stripe. Connecting an exchange may require API keys and secrets; we store those encrypted at rest. We collect this kind of data when you choose to submit it.
Information we collect automatically
Like most sites, we may log technical details such as browser type, device/OS signals, rough connection metadata, and diagnostic events (for example error reports through monitoring tools). We do not intentionally store exchange API secrets in plain text in those logs.
Cookies and similar tech
We use cookies and similar technologies for sign-in sessions, preferences, and basic reliability. Blocking cookies may break login or other features.
How we use data
- Run and secure accounts, journals, analytics, and exchange sync.
- Process subscriptions and invoices through Stripe.
- Respond to support requests and operational messages about your account.
- Improve the product using aggregated usage patterns and feedback.
- Send optional marketing or product updates if you opt in—unsubscribe anytime via the email or by contacting us.
- Run promotions or surveys you agree to participate in.
Security
We apply administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the data we hold. Auth, database, and payment infrastructure often live with vendors under their own policies. Card numbers are processed by Stripe; we do not keep full card numbers on Hyerlo servers. Exchange API credentials are encrypted at rest.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share data with processors who help us operate the Service—examples include authentication and hosting, Stripe, error monitoring, and email delivery—only as needed for those jobs. We may share de-identified aggregate statistics that do not identify you. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, or the Service.
Other sites
Links to exchanges, partners, or other third parties are outside our control. Their privacy practices are their own; this policy does not cover them.
Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy by posting a new version here. Material changes take effect when posted. Check back periodically. Keeping using the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy; if you do not, stop using Hyerlo and cancel any subscription.
