Import

How to import Bybit trades

Export Bybit Order History or Trade History as CSV and upload it to Hyerlo. Autosync for Bybit is coming. Includes pitfalls, status table, and FAQ.

Bybit on Hyerlo is CSV only today. Autosync is coming. This page walks the exchange export, the Hyerlo upload, and the usual pitfalls (duplicates, cancelled orders, subaccounts, slow Data Export jobs).

Hub: import. Journal leaf: Bybit trading journal.

What to export

You want executed trades with time, symbol or contract, side, price, size, fee, and closed P&L when Bybit includes it. You do not want a cancelled-only order list, a PDF account statement, or a funding-only file as your sole import (funding can be a second file later).

Bybit’s help center describes three data types on Data Export: Account Statement (PDF), Transaction Log (CSV), and Order History (CSV). For journaling fills, Order History is the usual target. Transaction Log is about asset flows. Account Statement is a PDF snapshot, not a trade journal feed.

Export path A: Data Export (longer ranges)

Documented by Bybit for web users with Identity Verification or Business Verification. Not available on the Bybit app.

  1. Open Profile → Account → Data Export. Alternate entry: Assets → Funding Account → History → Data Export.
  2. Select Order History.
  3. Choose Main and subaccounts carefully. Batch export of many subaccounts is supported from the main account (Bybit documents up to 100 in one batch). Subaccount pages only export that subaccount.
  4. Tick the perpetual or futures trade and closed P&L records that match how you trade (USDT Perpetual, USDC Perpetual, USDT Futures, and related rows appear in Bybit’s Order History list).
  5. Set the timeframe. One file covers at most one year. Export year by year for longer history. Bybit states retrievable data windows of multiple years starting from early 2022 for several record types; still split by the one-year file cap.
  6. Click Export Now and wait. Order History generation can take roughly 1 to 3 days on large ranges. Status moves to Exported. Download within seven days. Bybit also emails you.
  7. Extract CSVs from the archive if needed (Bybit documents zip style extraction for Data Export packages).

Quota note from Bybit: up to 50 exports per month across data types on the Data Export page. Do not burn the quota on accidental duplicate jobs.

Export path B: Unified Trading Order (recent activity)

  1. From the Bybit homepage go to Orders → Unified Trading Order.
  2. Open the product history page for Spot, Futures, or Options as needed. For a perps journal, stay on Futures style history.
  3. Switch to Trade History (or the tab that lists executions), not a pure open orders view.
  4. Click Export. Choose contract type and time range. Confirm Export Now.
  5. Bybit documents this route with up to six months inside the last two years, a 10,000 entry cap per file, and a daily request limit (five per day for derivatives orders on the published notes).

Use path B for last month’s review. Use path A when you need a longer archive.

Upload into Hyerlo

  1. Open CSV import.
  2. Choose the Bybit preset when it appears.
  3. Upload the file and read every preview column.
  4. Finish the import.
  5. Repeat for each subaccount file you intend to keep separate. Name the account in Hyerlo so widgets stay scoped.

If columns look wrong, stop before confirming. A Spot history file mixed into a perps book will poison hit rate and funding views.

After a clean import

You should see trades in the dock, charts for review, and empty tag fields waiting for you. Add setups and themes the same day so next week’s filter means something.

Dashboard widgets (PnL, drawdown, hit rate, trading vs funding fees, streaks, overtrading) light up from the imported numbers. Hide values when you screen-share. Multi-account limits follow your plan once autosync seats matter; CSV Bybit books still count as accounts in the journal UI.

Pitfalls

Issue Fix
Exported from the mobile app Use the web Data Export or Unified Trading Order flows.
PDF Account Statement uploaded Export Order History CSV instead.
Only cancelled orders Switch to Trade History / fill records.
Overlapping date windows Import anyway if duplicate protection is on; keep file names dated.
Funding missing Export funding or income style records separately if you need them, then attribute in review.
Subaccounts blended One export and one Hyerlo account per book.
Waiting until the night of review Data Export can take days. Kick off exports early.

Sample weekly rhythm for Bybit CSV

  1. Monday: start a Data Export Order History job for the prior week if the Unified Trading Order window is not enough.
  2. When the email lands, download and extract the CSV the same day. Links expire in seven days.
  3. Upload in Hyerlo, skim the preview, and confirm.
  4. Tag every trade that broke a rule. Leave winners with a one-line note too, or you will only study pain.
  5. Open the fees widget. If funding dominated, shorten holds or stop fighting the crowded side.
  6. Glance at overtrading and streaks before you size up on Tuesday.

This rhythm beats a quarterly dump that fights entry caps and duplicate chaos.
