Using Hyerlo

Notes

Write trade reviews, plans, and lessons, start from templates, attach pictures, and link notes to trades.

Notes is your trading notebook. Use it for pre market plans, trade reviews, weekly recaps, or a level you want to remember. Notes you write on a trade from the Trades page show up here too.

Page layout

Area What it shows
Notes list Every note, favorites first, then most recently edited
Note The selected note: title, tag, symbols, body, and pictures
Gallery Every picture from every note, as a grid

Switch between Notes and Gallery with the control in the top bar.

On desktop you can drag the divider between the list and the note to resize the list. Double click the divider to reset it. When the divider has focus, the left and right arrow keys resize it too.

Writing a note

  1. Click New note (the plus button on the list) or pick a template from the templates menu in the top bar.
  2. Give it a title, an optional tag (for example "Review" or "Plan"), and the symbols it covers (for example BTC ETH).
  3. Write the body. Start a line with ## to make a section heading.
  4. Click Save. Cancel throws away your edits.

To change a note later, click Edit note on the note or choose Edit note from the note's options menu in the list.

Field Limit
Title 120 characters
Tag 24 characters
Symbols 20 per note

Templates

The templates menu in the top bar starts a new note with headings and prompts already filled in. Hyerlo ships with three:

Template Use it for
Trade review Setup, thesis, entry, stop and target, execution, outcome, mistakes, and the lesson
Pre-market plan Market context, key levels, watchlist, your A+ setup, invalidation, and risk budget
Weekly review Stats, best and worst trade, patterns, rule breaks, and next week's focus

Your most recent template sits under Last used.

Making your own

Choose New template, or click the edit icon next to a template, to open the template editor.

  • Name the template and pick a default tag.
  • Add sections from the library (trade details, execution, psychology, summary, reflection) or write a Custom section. Each section becomes a heading in the note with its prompt underneath.
  • Drag sections (or use the up and down arrow keys on a section's handle) to reorder them, toggle a section off to keep it in the template but leave it out of new notes, or remove it.
  • The preview on the right updates as you edit.

Restore the defaults brings back the built in templates if you've changed or deleted them.

Pictures

Add screenshots and charts to any note.

  • Click Add pictures on the note, or drop image files onto it.
  • Up to 8 pictures per note, 5 MB each, in PNG, JPEG, WebP, or GIF.
  • Click a picture to view it full size. Use Remove picture to delete one.

Gallery collects pictures from all your notes in one place. Click a picture to open the note it belongs to.

Notes on trades

On the Trades page, select a trade and open Notes in the overview panel to write a note about that trade. The Snapshot chart button there captures the current chart as a picture on the note.

These notes appear on the Notes page with a View trade on chart link that opens the trade on Trades.

Finding notes

Type in Search notes to filter the list. Search matches titles, note text, tags, and symbols.

Mark notes you come back to often as favorites (the star on the note, or Add to favorites in the options menu). Favorites stay at the top of the list.

Deleting a note

Click Delete note on the note or in its options menu. You get a few seconds to click Undo before the note is gone for good.
